The Laser Hair Removal Process
Unwanted hair can be removed by Dr. Vanek and his staff with laser hair removal at their Cleveland area practice. The Sciton® ClearScan™ laser uses a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by melanin in hair follicles. Depending upon your skin type, as assessed in your consultation, you may be a candidate for BBL™ laser hair removal. As the energy of the light is absorbed by the melanin, the hair follicle is heated and destroyed. A contact cooling device cools the skin, providing a safe and comfortable experience. While the treatment does not completely remove every hair, you will notice a significant (85% permanent) reduction in the density and appearance of it.
Fine Face Hair Removal
As mammals, hair generally covers our entire body. For some, the fine hair of the face can be aesthetically unpleasing and can also be treated with the Sciton® ClearScan™ laser (see above). The treatment cannot completely remove every hair, though you will see significant reduction in the density and appearance of the fine hair of the face.
